Hi Readers, Grampa Starling here with a warm welcome to my new look blog.
The other day a reader commented to me about wanting to join the RSS feed for the blog but couldn’t figure out to do this.
You can imagine my horror when I looked into the problem and discovered there was no RSS button visible on any of the various pages or posts; this despite the underlying code for the blogsite including the appropriate coding: something was obviously wrong with it.
After trying, unsuccessfully, to get the RSS feeds working I had to admit defeat. The easiest way I could think of to get around this (I’m not very tech savvy!) was to install a new theme which should (indeed has) resolve the problem. My RSS feeds, for either ‘Posts’ or ‘Comments’, can now be found at the top of every screen.
This episode just goes to show how, despite trying to keep on top of things, I can’t be aware of every problem; if you see anything with the site that you think is wrong or needs changing, please do let me know – my reader the other day did and I’m truly grateful to him.
Also, please do let me know what you think to the new look; I’m still working on getting it just how I want it but would welcome any constructive comments or suggestions.
